I tested the Java regex here and in my code. When I use sample codes to install helm charts, I got below exception: 圎xception: Unclosed character class near index 23 templates/\.\\ at. it couldnt match the cases like it did with in JS flavor. My code has two methods one to remove the special character at the end of the user input and split the words up, and another to actually translate the words. And for Java you need to escape, with, but you need to escape it. However, Java also accepts escaping it, see next paragraph. When using literal within a list in regex you should put it as the first characters otherwise the Parser will not understand it. The result is: Even though the compiler doesnt show any errors anymore, the result was empty, i.e. 圎xception: Unclosed character class near index 10 C55f96302. You need to escape the character like you have escaped the character. Code: : Plugin Towny v0.92.0.0 generated an exception while executing task 37 圎xception: Unclosed character class near index 16 -] ^ at .error(Pattern.java:1955) ~ at .clazz(Pattern.java:2548) ~ at .sequence(Pattern.java:2063) ~ at .expr(Pattern.java:1996) ~ at .compile(Pattern.java:1696) ~ at .(Pattern.java:1351) ~ at .compile(Pattern.java:1028) ~ at (String.java:2223) ~ at .NameValidation.filterName(NameValidation.java:135) ~ at .NameValidation.checkAndFilterPlayerName(NameValidation.java:50) ~ at .db.TownyDatabaseHandler.getResident(TownyDatabaseHandler.java:115) ~ at .Towny.hasPlayerMode(Towny.java:639) ~ at .Towny.hasPlayerMode(Towny.java:633) ~ at .(DrawSmokeTask.java:28) ~ at 1_12_R1.(CraftTask.java:53) ~ at 1_12_R1.(CraftAsyncTask.java:52) at .runWorker(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:1142) at $n(ThreadPoolExecutor.java:617) at (Thread.java:745) EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting. Upon reading into it, I realized I have to escape the slash.
